Aliya Vigor-Robertson

Founding Partner

Aliya started her HR career in 1996 and co-founded JourneyHR in 2010. Aliya has predominantly worked in the communications industry reporting in at board level at Aegis Media, Naked Communications, Media Planning Group and lastminute.com. She applies commercial focus and business psychology to HR and continues to influence business owners in the marketing and communications industry on innovative people practices.

In her free time Aliya enjoys bike rides with her family, cooking for her friends and travelling around the world.

Her favourite journey is yet to happen…if you ask her she’ll let you in on her plan.

Sue Shaw

Founding Partner

Sue co-founded JourneyHR in 2010 having worked as a senior talent expert with one of the largest agencies in the media world. Sue started her HR career in 2001 and now specialises in partnering with founders to drive their retention, development and engagement strategies, underpinned by rigorous HR principles and practices.

Sue loves family life and can often be found driving “mum’s taxi” around Epsom between various clubs and events with her two young children.

Her favourite journey was travelling to the Great Wall of China where she came back with a ring on her finger… great views and a great, everlasting memory.

Danielle Meola

Head of HR

Danielle started her HR career in 2008 working at Warner Bros followed by The Evening Standard. She joined JourneyHR in 2014 specialising in solving employee relations and is all-knowing when it comes to performance management, employment law and policies.

When Danielle is not solving HR crises she enjoys eating her way around London and other parts of the world. To counteract and balance her wellbeing you may also see her burning off those calories at the gym!

Danielle’s favourite journey is the ascent up windy mountain roads to her father’s village, Senerchia in Italy.

Kate Sherwood

Kate Sherwood

Senior HR Consultant

Kate started her HR career in 2012 and spent the last three years at Viacom International Media Networks working her way up to HR Business Partner.  She loves working with people from different industries and enjoys partnering with people to help them achieve their goals at work. Kate’s fascination with people lends itself to the HR world so she thrives on dealing with businesses with regards to their talent plans and organisation transformations. Nothing is too big a job when everyone shares the same vision!

When she’s not working, you can find Kate brunching in the latest pop ups, entertaining friends or generally not taking herself too seriously in the hottest exercise fad!

Her favourite journey was her honeymoon to the Maldives where she ate, drank and read until her heart was content.

Jessica Robinson

Jessica Robinson

HR Consultant

Jessica’s keen interest in HR can first be traced back to her Psychology & Criminology degree at Sheffield Hallam University. This enthusiasm grew stronger whilst working at a City consultancy, where her responsibilities included HR, Recruitment and Finance. She joined JourneyHR in February 2017 and has since enjoyed working closely with different agencies. Understanding her clients’ businesses and unique HR requirements, then designing tailored solutions is what gives Jessica a real buzz.

You’ll find Jessica trialling the latest fitness crazes around London or having a laugh with her friends during after-work catch ups.

After being born in the U.S, her most significant journey to date is travelling across the Atlantic to settle in Hertfordshire but there are definitely more journeys to come.. watch this space!

Holly Robinson

HR Consultant

Holly has spent the last seven years working in HR predominantly within the Creative and PR industry. She enjoys working with managers to help them hone their people management skills, advises businesses on tricky performance cases and builds practical toolkits for agencies to implement to enhance their people practices.

Outside the hustle and bustle of London, Holly will be found trialling all the pub lunches in her local area with her dog in tow.

Her favourite journey was driving over to France and Italy exploring all the sights and scrumptious food, meaning she has now ticked off a couple more destinations from her ever-growing bucket list.

Holly Evans

HR Consultant

Holly started her career in HR with AMV/BBDO in 2016 after graduating from Leeds University with a degree in psychology. It was probably no surprise that Holly decided to study psychology given that she is an identical twin and has been part of a longitudinal twin study since birth. She spent the last three years working her way up to an HR Advisor. She loves working with a diverse range of people, building strong relationships to help both the business and the individuals. She particularly enjoys working on diversity and inclusions projects and implementing initiatives to help transform an organisation.

During her free time Holly loves travelling, eating out, theatre (particularly musicals) yoga and fitness classes, generally chilling with her friends or reading a good book curled up with Hugo the cat.

Her favourite journey to date has got to be the years she spent living in Singapore, being able to pop over to Bangkok for a bit of retail therapy or an Indonesian island for the weekend with her friends. But the journey continues and Holly is sure there will be more adventures to come…

Trudy joined JourneyHR  after graduating from Oxford Brookes with a 1st in Business Management with Publishing Media. During university, she worked in the science and technology industry, with both large organisations and small start-ups. There she discovered her interest in HR and passion for improving work environments.

As an HR Assistant, Trudy supports clients with everyday HR needs; with on-boarding, training, documentation, and more!

If you see Trudy out of work, she’s probably thinking about Christmas decorations (her collection of baubles is always growing).

Trudy’s favourite journeys are the trips she takes to Bremen, Germany, where her Grandmother grew up, and where she has been with many people over the years. Whether it’s for white wine in the Marktplatz in summer, or huddling up with glühwein in the Christmas markets, she’s always looking to book the next trip.

Laura Day

HR Assistant

Laura joined JourneyHR having previously worked as an Account Coordinator at Brook Street and completing her Level 3 Certificate in HR Practice with the CIPD.

Laura approaches HR on a personal level and is always keen to take the time to get to know people. As HR Assistant she ensures employee admin is accurate and up to date and coordinates training for our clients.

In her free time, Laura enjoys trips to the Theatre and is the lead singer in a rock/pop covers band!

Laura’s favourite journey recently has been discovering the wonderful city of Amsterdam.

Eve Page

HR Assistant

Eve became our lucky number 10 and joined JourneyHR in 2019. She travelled extensively for four months following graduating from the University of Brighton with a first in Geography and Geology. During her industrial placement and work in the recruitment industry she has had hands on experience with HR focusing on employee engagement, improving work environments as well as demonstrating attention to detail in managing HR administrative tasks.

As a HR assistant she ensures that HR administration is up to date with clients as well as helping where the team needs her.

Eve likes to spend time with her family in Derby where chips and gravy are a common delicacy.  She can also be found doing adrenaline-based activities such as jumping out of planes. She enjoys travelling the world and one of her favourite destinations was soaking up the sun and riding the waves in Hawaii.
